“ We made the opening at Martinelli‘s Market Bakery and Deli today in Champaign. The food was excellent. I had the muffaletta, and my husband had the Italian sandwich. Both were fresh, the meats and cheeses were excellent, and the breads are their specialty. Our sandwiches were definitely large enough to share, however, we ate half and took the rest home for dinner. We also had the Italian picnic pasta salad. I will definitely order that again. For dessert, we selected the chocolate pistachio cannoli. Another great choice. The cannoli shell was dipped in chocolate and had a creamy pistachio filling. We live two hours away, but we will be back. Congratulations on a successful opening day. ”

Great market selections too and meat and seafood options in the freezer case! Don't forget the pastry options, delicious and beautifully crafted. Oh and the BREAD...must grab several loaves! ”
